EDIT: Come to think of it, it probably puts the configuration stuff that the PC version puts in an INI file inside the save somewhere. It may be just a matter of zeroing something out. There shouldn't be a lot of difference between them, so you probably won't find a lot. Copy a PC save over, run the game, immediately hit save and exit, then compare the new Switch save file with the old PC one.
